I am collecting a lot of photography, different kind of artwork from different artists, I also collect quotes, that I find inspirational and interesting. When I find it difficult to concentrate on my work - I just look through my collection and feel inspired again. For this presentation I decided not to deal with famous and widely known authors, but with ones, that I have discovered for myself and felt close to me in a way. It is impossible to select just 20 images, so I divided the presentation in four sections:
Three authors: Elena Kalis, Mehmet Turgut, Eugenio Recuenco and the rest five images are very powerful to me, and decided to include them aswell.
1. Elena Kalis - Elena is a conceptual underwater photographer based in the Bahamas. She originaly was born in Moscow, Russia, but for the last 10 years she is living with her family on a small island in the Bahamas. For her series of amazing underwater photographs she uses her daughter Sascha as a model. Her work caught the attention of editors, and now it is displayed in books, magazines and CD Covers. The images she creates as stunning, colourful and really inspiring. She gives a different dimention, and her interpretation of Alice in Wonderland is truly amazing to me. Connecting her work to a quote, that I have chosen is something personal, and gives different perspective to her work without harming the intention of the photograph.

2. Mehmet Turgut - Mehmet is a Turkey based photographer. He has mastered photography, developing and printing techniques, has won a series of contests, and is lecturing photography in Ankara, Turkey. He has specialised in creating fictional, fashion and creative photographs. He combines his make-up, photograph and Photoshop skills and creates something powerful, that just stands out. I personally follow his works for a long time now and am really amazed by his work.

3. Eugenio Recuenco - Eugenio is a Spain based photographer. I already made a separate presentation on his work, but now I have combined his work with quotes, and tried to interpret them my way. His use of light makes his photographs look like movie stills, or painting. He has a great touch to the detail. I have watched some making of videos, where I couldn't help but notice his devotion to his work.

4. The other photographs are taken by: Brian Day, Jonathan May, Kevin Tsoi, Rodney Smith, Elizabeth Molin. You can see more of their work through the links.
I think, that generally it would take some time to catch the meaning in every slide, because it is not that obvious, and I have put a lot of effort to find the perfect quote for every photo and vice versa, so...
take your time, and I hope you appreciate and enjoy as much as I did.
