Chaos - Definition & Inspirations

Chaos
cha·os/ˈkāäs/
Noun:
1.        Complete disorder and confusion.
2.       Behavior so unpredictable as to appear random, owing to great sensitivity to small changes in conditions.

The word itself brings is the idea of undefined order.  Despite the common idea : “chaos” taken for a negative word, there are some positive sides as well.

Chaos is the origin of order. Without chaos there is no order. Just like light and darkness or sound and silence.

Inspiration: Minimalistic movie posters

Something interesting, that I found during my research on the internet. Created by MOXYcreative (James Alexander Mathers and Andrew Lau) these unique posters got me inspired with their simplicity and originality. They created 10 posters redesigned according to  different men's style in the movies they chose. The posters actually can be ordered from their website. Moxy Creative House is design agency, specializing in creative direction and development in fashion, and other visually driven industries. Forthermore I got inspired and decided to research a bit more and found some really smart creations. You can find some of them below, and here .

"20 images/20 seconds" Presentation

I am collecting a lot of photography, different kind of artwork from different artists, I also collect quotes, that I find inspirational and interesting. When I find it difficult to concentrate on my work - I just look through my collection and feel inspired again. For this presentation I decided not to deal with famous and widely known authors, but with ones, that I have discovered for myself and felt close to me in a way. It is impossible to select just 20 images, so I divided the presentation in four sections:
Three authors: Elena Kalis, Mehmet Turgut, Eugenio Recuenco and the rest five images are very powerful to me, and decided to include them aswell.

V&A: Postmodernism

Postmodernism or PoMo is actually partly the period of time during which I was born. The sentence, that is mostly common for this movement is “Love it, or hate it”. I would say, that I was impressed during my visit to this exhibition in the V&A. I could sense the feeling of total freedom in the work of the artists, who were presented there. As it first manifested in architecture, and further in design, art, fashion and music.

Eugenio Recuenco - a spanish inspiration

The first time when I saw a short advert for Loewe directed by the spanish photographer Eugenio Recuenco I was inspired. His vision and devotion to his work are memorable. After I saw a 'making of' I was certain, that this man is a pure artist. He measures every inch of the set with a camera. Makes everything go smoothly.

Bringing photography to life

Recently I found series of photos, that just fascinated me. Photography as a method of capturing moments is a great tool, but if you could make moments look still, and add a scent of movement without turning that photo into a movie makes you feel like you have seen magic.
